36. Dirty Day

It took a long time to explain to the humans the reason for taking them and the ultimate journey they were about to undertake. I had to produce the words on the Lite Papr slowly so everyone could comprehend the significance of what was happening. Of the twenty one humans….  should have been twenty two…. I only knew the names of three of them. Bill, Nora and Stan. The expression on the faces of most of the humans was a mixture of anger, fear and confusion. Stan, however, was smiling. “Wow…I’m going to your world and then do all those other things?” Too bad the other humans were not as enthusiastic as Stan.

I was sure the information I presented to the humans did little to calm their fears. I knew that I could do more “imprint” modification to their thought processes with the new nano-neuro materials. For now I would leave them in this more response state….that I could control. It was good to know this modification was working because I still had to collect twenty nine more humans. I looked at MY small army…I looked at Stan and wrote, ” We have to leave NOW.”

When we got everyone into the back of the truck I realized it was fairly full. I couldn’t get more than twice this many humans in this vehicle. We either needed another truck and driver or walk. I would make that decision after we gathered more humans. The noise from the flying machines was almost gone. We had to get back on the road and away from this area now. Before we left the building I used the Lite Wrapping to alter the exterior and interior of the vehicle. At Stan’s suggestion we were now driving a steel hauling tractor trailer.

We needed to get onto one of the main, heavily used roads so we could be with similar vehicles. Being by ourselves on the road increased our chances of getting stopped by the uniformed humans. “Boss,” Stan looked over at ME from the drivers seat, “we are only about a mile from the interstate. But before we get on we pass a large high school….and this is Friday night so that means they have a football game tonight and lots of people.” I looked at MY cape. Based upon the large bold, red letters on MY cape the Lite was pretty emphatic. “This is an opportunity to capture more humans. The longer you wait the better the possibility you will be fighting the uniformed humans more often.” I thought for a while  … then told Stan to get ME close to the High School.

I told Stan to stay with the truck. It was parked under some trees in a small lot a short distance from the crowd. I needed to move fast. The limited space in the truck would only allow maybe twelve more humans and I wanted to get even amounts of males and females. I made MYSELF reflective and moved toward a small group standing underneath some large metal seating structure.

I took a few moments and identified the six males and six females.  I moved close enough to use the Lite Ring and take the twelve humans hopefully without anyone noticing. I projected the Lite Ring, imprinted them and had them follow me back to the truck. Before we reached the vehicle bright lights illuminated MY group of twelve and uniformed humans came running out of the dark. They were waitng for us….for ME.
