40. Earthshine

It was time to move. With the collection of MY army complete it was time to start the next phase of the journey….getting back to LiteWorld. Fitting the fifty humans and MYSELF into the vehicle would be difficult. Stan and Jolie would be up front with ME and the other forty eight would be crammed into the back. I continued to use the same Lite Wrapping mimic for the truck as before. We needed to evade detection until we could get back to the original place of entry to this planet…. back to the light rip.

The Lite believed the best time for us to enter the light rip would be when this planet’s sun was as its highest position. Even though I could produce energy with the help of the nanobots I would require a lot more power to move the humans through the rip.  I didn’t disagree but I had some concerns about being detected by the uniformed humans, who were now everywhere. I had explained to MY humans, to the best of MY ability, what they were about to experience during the trip and to some extent the transformation process.

As we traveled back through the large city toward the original forest area where we entered through the rip, the Lite instructed ME on the extraction process. “The humans will need to be totally conscious when you make the trip. YOU have to use the Lite Wrapping to cover them for protection and provide an environmental bubble for air to breathe. YOU can not remove the wrapping until the beginning of the transformation process. Otherwise they will die.” Stan looked at ME from the drivers seat as if he had seen the Lites words on MY cape. It didn’t matter. We were almost there.

Even in this more remote area of woods we could hear the sound of the flying machines constantly searching for us. I made Stan park the truck under some tall trees to hide us as much as possible. “Stan take Jolie with you and stand under that large group of trees and keep out of site.” As Stan moved with Jolie in tow I ordered the humans out of the truck and had them move to Stan’s position. I had to completely remove any hold I had on the humans and then cover them all with the Lite Wrapping. I wanted to do this just before I took them through the rip.

“Keep them as close together as possible. YOU will take them through the light rip as a group. Once we leave here YOU will not be able to communicate with them or me until we get back into LiteWorld.” I took this last comment as a signal to start the process. I removed all control of the human army and used the Lite Wrapping at the same time. I could see the panic in the eyes of the humans as they adjusted to this new realization. Before they could start to move I began the move toward the rip.

As I lifted them up toward the sun I could just make out the rip. It looked smaller. I pulled them quickly up to the rip and turned around to see if the group was still together. The group was there but it was enshrined in a warm, blue-white light reflected by the earth from its sun. I could tell the humans saw it as well. It was mesmerizing.  As we entered the light rip, the intensity of the light increased, that noise returned and then…..
